Scams are the number one worry we hear about — and learning a few simple warning signs is the best way to protect yourself. Here are some common ones to watch for:
A message says your bank account is "locked" and demands you click a link right away.
Someone calls claiming to be from "Microsoft" or "Apple" saying your computer has a virus.
You're asked to pay for something with gift cards, or to send money to fix a problem.
A prize or refund arrives out of nowhere — but first they need your password or card number.
